Confirmation Deposit

Who is required to pay the confirmation deposit?
All new degree seeking undergraduate (bachelor's) students admitted for spring 2021 and beyond, including those that have deferred admission from a previous term.  Graduate students (master's and PhD) do not need to pay a confirmation deposit.

What is the confirmation deposit?
The confirmation deposit is a $150 fee for undergraduate students that pays for all your orientation activities on campus. It also shows us that you are committed to coming to UWM.

Where can I see the confirmation deposit in my PAWS account?
After you are admitted, the charge will appear in the Finances section of your PAWS account. Additionally, a Confirmation Deposit item will appear in your PAWS To-Do list. Once the payment has been made, the To-Do item will disappear, and the charge will show as paid.

Who is required to pay the confirmation deposit?
All new undergraduate international degree-seeking students admitted for spring 2021 and beyond, including who that have deferred admission from a previous term.

Do I need to pay the confirmation deposit right away?
This outstanding fee will not prevent you from registering for classes. If you have trouble paying the fee due to international banking issues, or if the fee will be paid by your sponsor, you can leave it unpaid for now. When any payment is made on your account, this fee will be paid first.
