Graduate

The fall 2021 International F-1/J-1 Student Orientation will be held in two parts, both as an online course through Canvas and as a virtual meeting event on August 18, 2021 from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM CST. Registration is required. Students who do not complete the mandatory F-1/J-1 Orientation will receive a hold on their PAWS account limiting their ability to enroll in the next term; after completion of the orientation, the hold will be removed. 
These sessions cover such topics as: 
  • Visa requirements 
  • Health Insurance 
  • Student rights and safety 
  • Classroom norms and expectations 
  • Campus services

Note for students admitted as Dual Students: For more information on your Dual status requirements and the English Language Academy (ELA) Class Information for Dual Students, visit the ELA Programs Office. 


Note for students with Conditional Admission: Students with Conditional Admission must attend orientation in the UWM Intensive English Program. Students will attend an orientation at the Center for International Education when their status changes to dual admission or regular admission.
